Opened on the ground floor of Meroddi Galata Mansion in Serdar-ı Ekrem Street in September 2015, Lattas is a relaxing, cute café known for its wide array of coffee selections as well as its delicious treats and lunch menu.

Lunch at Lattas is made-to-order from quality ingredients - all salads and pasta are made from scratch to exceed your expectations. We even make pasta noodles in-house, which are nothing like the dehydrated, packaged stuff you are used to. If you've got room for dessert following lunch, try our savory and sweet pastries such as tiramisu.

Roasting single origin coffee beans in-store and applying 3rd generation brewing techniques (Syphon, Drip, Chemex), Lattas Café offers well structured and sweetly balanced espresso blend composed of African and South American coffees.

Lattas Coffee takes its name from the Christian name of the Ottoman chief commander Ömer Lutfi Lattas Pasha (1806–1871). Born as a Serbian Orthodox Christian in Austrian territory with a name Michael Lattas, he fled to Ottoman Bosnia in 1827, converted to Islam took the name Ömer Lutfi and joined the Army, where he crushed several rebellions across the Empire, and he won outstanding victories particularly in the Crimean War. And this is how he became Ottoman chief commander (“Serdar-Ekrem” in Turkish).
The street where Lattas Café and the Meroddi Hotel are located was named after him (Serdar-ı Ekrem Ömer Pasha) in the 20th century.
